Hello, my name is Father Joe, I was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, the eldest of five children.  I attended Salesianum School where I met the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales.  I attended the University of Delaware, completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.  I entered the Oblates, taught Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Theology, and Math and directed plays and musicals at several Catholic secondary schools, was principal of two high schools, an instructor at Temple University, Holy Family College, Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, and Chestnut Hill College, and an assistant professor of education and dean of students at DeSales University.  I completed my Masters of Arts in Biology from Villanova University and in Theology from DeSales School of Theology, and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Temple University.  I am a coordinating and presenting priest in Worldwide Marriage Encounter.  I have conducted many retreats for elementary, secondary, college students, adults, religious, and married couples.  I presented several parish missions and educational workshops.  Finally, after 40 years in the education ministry, I am your parochial vicar.  It seems to agree with me, thanks be to God!  I am an avid sports fan especially high school and college sports, a frustrated golfer, beach bum, and a retired skier.  I enjoy the theater and motion pictures.  Every once in a while I take a trip somewhere with others.
