We share bittersweet news that our Principal Organist, Susanna, will be leaving Christ the King.
Susanna’s husband, Matthew, is matched for residency in their home state of Texas, and they will be moving to Austin after the weekend of June 21-22. The two came to NJ in 2019 for Matthew to pursue his medical school education. Both Matthew and Susanna have served within the Diocese since 2019 and at Christ the King for the past year and a half; Matthew as a Eucharistic Minister, and Susanna from the choir loft on organ and piano.
In addition to our regular Sunday liturgies, Susanna accompanies our monthly Teen Mass, Family Mass, School Liturgies, and weekly choir rehearsals.
We have all come to love her sweet disposition, extraordinary talent, and flying red hair during her impassioned playing! As a Church community, we pray for Susanna and Matthew as they enter this new chapter of their lives.
