Annual Parish Discernment Meeting

Your voice helps to shape this parish. If you want to learn what Christ the King has accomplished over the past year, share your ideas for the future, or take on a leadership role, please join us on Wednesday, May 6 for our annual Parish Discernment Meeting.

The evening begins at 6:30 PM with beverages and homemade treats from the Hospitality Committee. At 7:00 PM, Fr. Jon will deliver his “State of the Parish” address, offering parishioners an inside look at the past year – covering growth -in our sacramental life, pastoral updates on our ministries, and improvements made to the facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the full scope of what happens to keep CTK vibrant and growing.

The open floor session that follows is a highlight of the evening. This is your moment to speak — to offer a compliment, raise a concern, or propose something new. Parishioner input has already re-established our small faith sharing groups and helped update the bulletin format. Come prepared with a thought or an idea. Every voice matters, and yours is welcome here.

There will also be an election for three open seats on the Parish Council. Meeting every other month, the council advises the clergy in matters of faith formation, liturgy, and social justice — a meaningful and tangible way to serve at CTK. Nine parishioners serve in staggered three-year terms. The council plays an essential role in the life of our parish, helping to guide decisions that affect us all.  Nominations and brief statements from candidates will take place during the meeting, followed by the election.

We hope to see you there on May 6.
