What if your prayer life could connect you more deeply — not just to God, but to your fellow parishioners?
Over 130 members of Christ the King have already joined our parish community page on Hallow, the popular Catholic prayer app — and we’d love for you to be part of it. Hallow makes daily prayer accessible and beautiful, with guided meditations, rosaries, and seasonal challenges. Right now during Lent, the Pray 40 challenge is underway – a perfect opportunity to join us.
Many of us carry a quiet desire to pray more consistently – but between work, family, and the pace of daily life, it can be hard to know where to start. Hallow meets you where you are. Whether you have five minutes before the house wakes up or a quiet moment at the end of the day, the app provides gentle structure and guidance to help you show up for God – and keep showing up. Over time, those small, faithful moments become something transformative. Prayer becomes less of an item on a to-do list and more of a relationship – a daily returning to the One who knows us best.
But the CTK community page offers something beyond personal devotion – it’s a chance to be the Church for one another. When a parishioner posts a prayer intention, something powerful happens: people who may never have spoken after Mass are lifting that person up to God by name. A struggling parent, a sick neighbor, someone facing a hard decision – your prayer for them is a real act of love, even if they never know it happened. The chat feature and prayer request section make our parish not just a place we attend on Sundays, but a community we carry with us throughout the week.
Already on the CTK page? Go deeper. Post a prayer intention. Pray for someone by name. These small acts build something real. When we lift one another up by name, we pray as the Body of Christ — interceding for others, carrying one another’s burdens, loving beyond what’s convenient. And in interceding for others, we grow closer to God.
The free version is all you need to participate, though discounted upgrades are available. Simply scan the QR code in the bulletin to get started, or reach out to Jen Barker at jlm310@comcast.net — she’ll walk you through it personally. Come join us in prayer.
