Nearly 100 parishioners gathered for an evening of faith, updates, and community spirit at our May 7 Town Hall. Thanks to the Hospitality Ministry, everyone was warmly welcomed and well-fed, setting the tone for a vibrant and inspiring night.
From a pastoral perspective, Father shared exciting updates on our “Sunday First” initiative, including plans to expand the role of the Coordinator of Evangelization. This not-yet-hired new team member will, among other tasks, lead youth ministry and be present at Sunday Masses to greet and connect with parishioners—fostering a parish that truly feels like home.
Father also reflected on the reality of “church shopping,” noting that today’s parishioners often choose communities that nourish them spiritually, regardless of location. That’s why we’re committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and joyful environment where all feel known, valued, and loved. To support this, we’re addressing practical issues like vestibule clutter, parking challenges, and deepening engagement for all families, especially those bringing children for baptism.
Father spoke about his appointment as Vicar General of the Diocese of Camden and offered continued prayers for Deacon Mike, who has continued to face health challenges this past year.
On the facilities front, we’ve completed updates to Morgan Hall bathrooms, hallways, and added a beautiful Rosary Room. While Adoration Chapel seating remains under discussion, we’re moving forward with the ADA ramp project, led by council members Mark Magrino and John Canuso, set to finish by summer’s end. Church access will not be affected during construction.
Father gratefully shared that as of April 30, our offertory stands at $852,000. He is confident we’ll reach our $1 million goal by June 30, a first for our parish.
Parishioners shared thoughtful feedback on parking, the bulletin, chapel access, and respect life efforts, insights that help guide planning. Suggestions from previous town halls have led to a more engaging textbook series for our Religious Education program.
We closed with Parish Council elections—congratulations to Colleen Hirst, Jen Coehlo (reelected), and Sal Moffa (newly elected). We’ll highlight their faith journeys in future bulletins.
