Since 2021, the parishioners of Christ the King have generously donated over $6,700 to support young parents in Camden and the South Jersey region.
Through the successful YoungLives annual baby bottle campaign, young moms can attend summer camp with their babies, receive a much-needed supply of diapers and wipes, and participate in monthly Bible study. Previously, YoungLives focused only on the moms and their babies, and they are pleased to announce a young dad’s program. By spending time with these young parents and loving them, those working and serving at YoungLives foster a sense of community and role model Jesus in his Word. There are clubs in Camden County, Salem County, Burlington County, and soon, Gloucester County. The 2024 campaign is open from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day, and filled bottles are to be returned to the parish office or placed in the vestibule baskets at any Masses on the weekend of June 16.
