Grace and Gratitude

Our youngest stewards pose during the annual nativity performance at the children’s liturgy on Christmas Eve.

In December, our church hosted several special events, including the  Music Ministry Christmas concert, the Children’s Nativity pageant, and the CKRS Christmas and Band concert.  None of them would have been possible without the dedication of our faithful stewards.  Our church is tastefully decorated thanks to talents shared with us by the Altar and Environment ministry, who meticulously arrange the decorations, and with the assistance of our Facilities Team, led by manager John Peterolff, who ensures the church is in top condition for each event. Each year, the wreaths are fluffed, bows are tied and hung up high on the walls, the nativity scene is set with each piece intentionally positioned, and the outside wreaths festively adorn the doors to which we open wide for parishioners and family visiting from afar.

Collectively, the attendance of the seven Christmas Masses was approximately 2,000 attendees. Our ushers are crucial in creating a welcoming and orderly worship space.  Their friendly greetings before each Mass, diligence in safeguarding the collection during the Mass, and routine tidying of the church after each Mass all contribute to a dignified and clean environment for our congregants. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and valued.

The clergy and staff of our church are deeply and personally grateful for all our faithful stewards. As disciples of Jesus Christ, you recognize that all that you are and everything you have is a gift from God. Your willingness to freely and generously give your time in the service of God at Christ the King is a true testament to your faith and dedication. We are truly blessed to have you as part of our church family.

The Little Book of Holy Gratitude by Rev. Frederick Faber is a wonderful guide to assist you on your path to living gratefully.
